International Summer Camp Youth and Heritage Cuprija is a joint enterprise of the International Forum Bosnia and The Luxembourg Girl Guides and Boy Scouts Association which started in 2006.
The enterprise also involves number of local partners Stolac Youth Forum , the Association for the Restoration of Civic Trust in Stolac Municipality, the Stolac Church Parish Council, the Franciscan Seminary (Teologija) in Sarajevo and the other Franciscan Friaries of the Silver Bosnian province, the Scouting Associations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, the University “Džemal Bijedi?” Mostar, the “Orhideja,” “Dažd,” and “Privrednik” associations from Stolac, as well as a number of international donors and organisations, including the Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights and Serbian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights.
The aim of this program is to bring together young people from across the globe and provide them with the oppertunity to contribute to the rehabilitation of the plural community of Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The local community was devastated by war and by ideological images of religious and ethnic ideologies.

THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP YOUTH AND HERITAGE CUPRIJA 2010 International Forum Bosnia, with the co-operation and support of a number of organisations from Bosnia and abroad, will hold the Fifth International Summer Camp on Youth and Heritage: Cuprija 2010. The programme will take place in Stolac, Mostar, Rama and Sarajevo between the 2nd and 17th of August 2010. For participants who wish to stay on additional week, until 21st of August, a special program will be prepared.
The Camp will involve approximately 70 young people and 10 instructors from Bosnia and abroad. The programme includes practical, educational and recreational activities. Its purpose is to offer theoretical and practical support to the understanding of plural society, the various bases of tolerance, as well as the protection of cultural difference in societies based on the rule of law and democratically elected systems of government. During their practical activities, participants will be included in lengthier projects, learning to value, preserve, and restore the cultural and natural heritage of Stolac and its environs. The programme will also involve two workshops – one on traditional woodcarving and the other on the protection and preservation of library and archival treasures.
